Guardian of the Earth Award & Summit 2025 Successfully Held in Dhaka
The Global Law Thinkers Society (GLTS) proudly hosted the Guardian of the Earth Award & Summit 2025 from 24–27 October 2025 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event aims to unite the world, honor outstanding contributions in environment, leadership, and social development, and inspire the new generation to uphold peace and protect the planet.
Delegates from 12 countries — Slovakia, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, India, Bhutan, Sierra Leone, Netherlands, Palestine, Brunei, and Bangladesh gathered at the International Conference Hall, Knowledge Tower, Daffodil Smart City, Savar, Dhaka for this international event.
The prestigious summit brought together global leaders, academics, diplomats, and changemakers to celebrate outstanding contributions to sustainability, leadership, and social impact.
Panel Discussion
A key highlight was the panel discussion on the theme “From Green Skills to Green Deals.”
Panelists from participating countries shared insights on:
- Green skills and education
- Energy transition in Bangladesh
- Climate adaptation strategies from other nations
- Green business and cross-border trade opportunities
- Collective action for climate finance
A H M Masum Billah, Director (Media), Public Diplomacy Wing, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, served as Guest of Honor during the discussion.
Award Ceremony
The award ceremony opened with an inaugural address by Ahsanul Alam John, Founder and General Secretary of GLTS, followed by remarks from Professor Dr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University (DIU).
A short documentary on climate change in rural Bangladesh was presented by Sharif Jamil, Coordinator of Waterkeepers Bangladesh.
Guardian Raoman Smita, Founder and President of GLTS, shared the vision behind the initiative, stating:
“Guardian of the Earth is a movement for a greener, more peaceful, and kinder world. It began in 2022 and has spread across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the USA, and Australia. By 2030, it will return to Bangladesh after reaching every continent. The world has become unkind, and young people are forced to bear the weight of global crises when they should be free to dream and grow. Kindness can heal both humanity and the planet. A kind person can never destroy the Earth.”
Guest Remarks
Dr. Mahfuza Parveen, Director, Division of Research at DIU, discussed the university’s green adaptation initiatives and ongoing research on climate resilience.
Md. Shariful Islam (Prince), Chief of HR, GLTS, highlighted collaborative opportunities for social work and green business between Brunei and Bangladesh.
Dr. A.T.M. Mahbub-ul Karim, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, attended as Special Guest, expressing his support for the Green Guardians movement.
The Chief Guest, H.E. Haji Haris Bin Haji Othman, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam, delivered a keynote address emphasizing unity and environmental responsibility, reaffirming Brunei’s commitment to planetary preservation.
The opening concluded with cultural performances by illusionist S.A. Walid and ventriloquist Arif Asgar, delighting guests and participants.

The evening concluded with the selection of Bangladesh Country Leadership, appointing Ms. Samiha Khan, Educationist, as the new representative.
The day ended with a vibrant Cultural Program and Gala Dinner, featuring traditional dance, folk music, networking, and media interactions.
Foreign Delegation Tour Program in Dhaka:
Foreign delegates explored Bangladesh’s rich cultural heritage through visits to Puran Dhaka, Lalbagh Fort, Ahsan Manzil, and the Bangladesh Military Museum. They also enjoyed authentic local cuisine and traditional hospitality. Delegates praised the warmth, kindness, and generosity of the Bangladeshi people, noting that such genuine human connection is a powerful asset for developing Bangladesh’s tourism sector. They emphasized that with improved international promotion and sustainable tourism facilities, Bangladesh could emerge as one of Asia’s most welcoming and culturally vibrant destinations.

ঢাকায় সফলভাবে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো “গার্ডিয়ান অব দ্য আর্থ অ্যাওয়ার্ড অ্যান্ড সামিট ২০২৫”
গ্লোবাল ল’ থিংকার্স সোসাইটি (জিএলটিএস) এর উদ্যোগে “গার্ডিয়ান অব দ্য আর্থ অ্যাওয়ার্ড অ্যান্ড সামিট ২০২৫” সফলভাবে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে ২৪–২৭ অক্টোবর ২০২৫ তারিখে, ঢাকার সাভারে অবস্থিত ড্যাফোডিল স্মার্ট সিটির নলেজ টাওয়ারের আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মেলন হলে।
এই মর্যাদাপূর্ণ আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মেলনে অংশগ্রহণ করেন ১২টি দেশের প্রতিনিধিরা—স্লোভাকিয়া, কানাডা, মালয়েশিয়া, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, মিয়ানমার, ভারত, ভুটান, সিয়েরা লিওন, নেদারল্যান্ডস, প্যালেস্টাইন, ব্রুনাই ও বাংলাদেশ। বিশ্বকে একত্রিত করা, পরিবেশ সংরক্ষণ, নেতৃত্ব ও সামাজিক উন্নয়নে অসামান্য অবদানের স্বীকৃতি প্রদান, এবং নতুন প্রজন্মকে পরিবেশ ও শান্তি রক্ষায় অনুপ্রাণিত করাই এই আয়োজনের মূল উদ্দেশ্য।
এ আয়োজনটি আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনে বিশেষ গুরুত্ব অর্জন করেছে।
প্যানেল আলোচনা: “ফ্রম গ্রিন স্কিলস টু গ্রিন ডিলস”
সম্মেলনের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ ছিল মূল প্যানেল আলোচনা, যার বিষয় ছিল “ফ্রম গ্রিন স্কিলস টু গ্রিন ডিলস”। অংশগ্রহণকারী দেশগুলোর বিশেষজ্ঞ ও প্রতিনিধিরা আলোচনা করেন—
- সবুজ দক্ষতা ও শিক্ষার প্রসার,
- বাংলাদেশের জ্বালানি রূপান্তর,
- জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের অভিযোজন কৌশল,
- সবুজ ব্যবসা ও সীমান্তপারে বাণিজ্যের সুযোগ,
- এবং জলবায়ু অর্থায়নে সম্মিলিত উদ্যোগের প্রয়োজনীয়তা।
আলোচনায় বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এ. এইচ. এম. মাসুম বিল্লাহ, পরিচালক (মিডিয়া), পাবলিক ডিপ্লোমেসি উইং, পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়।
এ্যাওয়ার্ড উদ্বোধনী পর্ব ও বক্তব্য
উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন গ্লোবাল ল’ থিংকার্স সোসাইটির প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও মহাসচিব আহসানুল আলম জন। পরবর্তী বক্তব্যে প্রফেসর ড. মোহাম্মদ মাসুম ইকবাল, প্রো ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর, ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি (DIU), সবুজ শিক্ষা ও নেতৃত্ব বিকাশে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভূমিকা তুলে ধরেন।
গ্রামীণ বাংলাদেশের জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন নিয়ে প্রামাণ্যচিত্র উপস্থাপন করেন শরীফ জামিল, কো-অর্ডিনেটর, ওয়াটারকিপারস বাংলাদেশ।
গার্ডিয়ান রাওমান স্মিতা, প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও সভাপতি, জিএলটিএস, “গার্ডিয়ান অব দ্য আর্থ” আন্দোলনের ভিশন তুলে ধরে বলেন,
“গার্ডিয়ান অব দ্য আর্থ একটি বৈশ্বিক আন্দোলন, যা ২০২২ সালে শুরু হয়েছে একটি সবুজ, শান্তিপূর্ণ ও সহৃদয় পৃথিবী গড়ার লক্ষ্যে। এই আন্দোলন ইতিমধ্যেই ইউরোপ, এশিয়া, মধ্যপ্রাচ্য, যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ও অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করছে। সারা বিশ্ব ঘুরে ২০৩০ সালে এটি পুনরায় বাংলাদেশে ফিরে আসবে একটি বৈশ্বিক সম্প্রীতির প্রতীক হিসেবে। পৃথিবী আজ কঠোর ও অমানবিক হয়ে উঠেছে। তরুণ প্রজন্ম স্বপ্ন দেখার পরিবর্তে বোঝা বহন করছে। তাই এখন সময় এসেছে দয়া ও মানবিকতা ছড়িয়ে দেওয়ার। যে মানুষ দয়ালু, সে কখনো পৃথিবী ধ্বংস করতে পারে না, বরং রক্ষা করে মানবতা ও প্রকৃতি।”
অতিথিদের বক্তব্য
ড. মাহফুজা পারভীন, পরিচালক, গবেষণা বিভাগ, DIU, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সবুজ অভিযোজন ও জলবায়ু গবেষণা কার্যক্রম তুলে ধরেন।
মো. শরিফুল ইসলাম (প্রিন্স), প্রধান, মানবসম্পদ, GLTS, ব্রুনাই ও বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে সামাজিক উন্নয়ন ও সবুজ ব্যবসায়িক সহযোগিতার সম্ভাবনা নিয়ে বক্তব্য রাখেন।
বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ড. এ. টি. এম. মাহবুবুল করিম, যুগ্ম সচিব, প্রবাসী কল্যাণ ও বৈদেশিক কর্মসংস্থান মন্ত্রণালয়।
প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে বক্তব্য রাখেন ব্রুনাই দারুসসালামের হাই কমিশনার হে. ই. হাজি হারিস বিন হাজি ওসমান। তিনি পরিবেশ রক্ষায় ঐক্য, দায়িত্ববোধ ও আঞ্চলিক সহযোগিতার উপর গুরুত্বারোপ করেন এবং ব্রুনাই সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে বৈশ্বিক সবুজ আন্দোলনের প্রতি অঙ্গীকার পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেন।
উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠান শেষে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় সাংস্কৃতিক পরিবেশনা, যেখানে জাদুশিল্পী এস. এ. ওয়ালিদ এবং ভেন্ট্রিলোকুইস্ট আরিফ আসগর মনোজ্ঞ পরিবেশনা উপস্থাপন করেন।
প্রোগ্রামটি উপস্থাপন করেন মিস আর্থ বাংলাদেশ জামিলাতুন নাইমা এবং শোনো’র সিইও ও সহ-প্রতিষ্ঠাতা মারিলিন আহমেদ।

অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপনীতে বাংলাদেশের কান্ট্রি লিডার হিসেবে নির্বাচিত হন শিক্ষাবিদ সামিহা খান।
দিনব্যাপী এই অনুষ্ঠান শেষে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় গালা ডিনার ও সাংস্কৃতিক সন্ধ্যা, যেখানে লোকসংগীত, নৃত্য, নেটওয়ার্কিং ও মিডিয়া সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
বিদেশি প্রতিনিধিদলের বাংলাদেশ ভ্রমণ
সম্মেলন শেষে বিদেশি প্রতিনিধিদল পরিদর্শন করেন পুরান ঢাকা, লালবাগ কেল্লা, আহসান মঞ্জিল ও সামরিক জাদুঘর। তাঁরা স্থানীয় ঐতিহ্যবাহী খাবার ও সংস্কৃতির স্বাদ উপভোগ করেন।
বিদেশি অতিথিরা বাংলাদেশের মানুষের আন্তরিকতা, অতিথিপরায়ণতা ও উষ্ণ আচরণে গভীরভাবে মুগ্ধ হন। তাঁদের মতে, এই মানবিক উষ্ণতাই বাংলাদেশের সবচেয়ে বড় শক্তি। তাঁরা বলেন, আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে সঠিক প্রচারণা ও টেকসই পর্যটন অবকাঠামো গড়ে তোলা গেলে বাংলাদেশ সহজেই এশিয়ার অন্যতম জনপ্রিয় ও সংস্কৃতিসমৃদ্ধ পর্যটন গন্তব্যে পরিণত হতে পারে।
